Read and reflect

There are moments when nobody will clap for you, nobody will call to encourage you, and even the people you expected to say, “We believe in you,” may be busy discussing why your situation is hopeless.

Welcome to Ziklag!

David came home and found almost everything wrong at once. His city was burnt, his family was gone, his men were crying, and—just to make a bad day professionally terrible—the same men were discussing stoning him!

Imagine needing encouragement and your encouragement committee is looking for stones.

Yet Scripture says:

«“David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.”»

That sentence changed everything.

David discovered something every successful person must eventually learn: you cannot permanently outsource your inspiration. There will be days when your pastor is unavailable, your friends are tired, your spouse doesn't understand, your account balance is preaching another sermon, and your circumstances are shouting, “Give up!”

On such days, you must learn how to preach to yourself.

“My soul, get up! God is not finished with us yet!”

YOUR NEXT BREAKTHROUGH MAY BEGIN WITH YOUR NEXT ENCOURAGEMENT

David cried, but he didn't build a house inside his tears.

He wept, then prayed.
He prayed, then received direction.
He received direction, then pursued.
He pursued, and recovered all.

Sometimes the difference between where you are and where God wants you to be is the courage to rise one more time.

Joseph understood this. The pit couldn't bury his dream. Potiphar's house couldn't cancel his gift. Prison couldn't imprison his purpose. Even when people forgot him, God remembered him.

Paul was beaten, imprisoned and shipwrecked, yet he kept moving. Some of us experience one unanswered WhatsApp message and immediately announce a three-day emotional fasting!

No. Keep moving.

EVEN YOUR HOUSE CAN PREACH TO YOU

Someone once drew powerful lessons from ordinary things around the house:

The Fan says: Stay cool. Pressure is not permission to lose yourself.

The Roof says: Aim high. Your present condition is not the ceiling of your destiny.

The Window says: Look beyond here. There is still a world outside your disappointment.

The Clock says: Time is moving. Please don't spend six months mourning what happened in six minutes.

The Mirror says: Check yourself. Sometimes the breakthrough needs prayer; sometimes it needs adjustment.

The Calendar says: Keep growing. Yesterday's knowledge may not solve tomorrow's problem.

The Door says: Push! Some opportunities will not open because you stared spiritually at them.

And the Carpet says: Kneel down and pray! Because after all the motivation, strategy, networking and planning, you still need God.

KEEP YOUR INNER FIRE BURNING

Don't wait until everybody believes in you before you move. Feed your spirit with Scripture. Pray. Read. Learn. Worship. Stay around people who enlarge your faith rather than advertise your limitations.

And then do something.

Write the proposal.
Make the call.
Start the application.
Learn the skill.
Try again.

Prayer without corresponding action can become spiritual procrastination.

David didn't only ask God, “Shall I pursue?” When God answered, David pursued.

Your wealth may begin as an idea.
Your breakthrough may begin as another attempt.
Your restoration may begin with one decision:

“I refuse to remain discouraged.”

Reflection

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

You may lose money and make it again. You may lose an opportunity and find another. But when you lose the inspiration to rise again, you have lost something more expensive than money.

Protect your inner fire.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Place your hand upon your heart and declare:

«I will not quit! This situation will not write the final chapter of my life. The joy of the Lord is my strength. I receive fresh inspiration, fresh ideas, fresh opportunities and fresh strength. I rise from every Ziklag experience. I shall pursue, overtake and recover all. My story is changing for good, in Jesus' name. Amen!»

2. Lord, silence every voice telling me that my best days are behind me.
3. Holy Spirit, release fresh ideas and divine strategies for my next level.
4. Father, give me strength to rise, pursue and act upon Your instructions.
5. Lord, turn every Ziklag experience in my life into a testimony of total recovery.
