God gave humanity a DOMINION MANDATE: be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue and have dominion.
But Satan's strategy from Eden has been to frustrate man's fulfilment of this divine mandate. Scripture reveals three major approaches:
👉 1. REBELLION — Make man disobey God.
The serpent began with: “Yea, hath God said…?” (Genesis 3:1).
Satan questioned God's Word, distorted it, and presented disobedience as freedom.
But rebellion never increased Adam's dominion—it diminished it.
You cannot successfully exercise authority from God while living in rebellion against God.
🔥 Rebellion is defeated by OBEDIENCE.
👉 2. CORRUPTION — Corrupt how man uses what God has given him.
After the Fall, humanity remained creative, intelligent and productive—but sin corrupted the human heart.
This teaches us:
Talent without righteousness can become dangerous.
Knowledge without character can destroy.
Power without integrity becomes oppression.
Technology without morality can magnify evil.
Even spiritual gifts without godly character can become instruments of manipulation.
Jesus asked:
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36
🔥 Corruption is defeated by CONSECRATION.
👉 3. DECEPTION — Make man believe he can fulfil God's mandate without God.
Satan offered Jesus the kingdoms of the world in exchange for worship (Matthew 4:8–10).
The temptation was essentially: “Take dominion through another route.”
Jesus refused.
Unfortunately, many today want:
Prosperity without integrity.
Authority without accountability.
Anointing without discipline.
Promises without principles.
Genesis 1:28 without the God of Genesis 1:28!
Deception is defeated by TRUTH and DEPENDENCE ON GOD.
✝️ CHRIST RESTORES TRUE DOMINION
Jesus is called the Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45).
Where Adam disobeyed, Christ obeyed.
Where Adam yielded to temptation, Christ overcame.
Therefore, true dominion begins with coming under the Lordship of Christ.
Some want authority over demons but have no authority over their temper, appetite or tongue!
Scripture says:
“He that ruleth his spirit [is better] than he that taketh a city.” — Proverbs 16:32
Before conquering cities, conquer yourself.
Before seeking authority over others, submit yourself to Christ.
🔥 FINAL WORD
The enemy's three strategies are:
REBELLION — answered by OBEDIENCE.
CORRUPTION — answered by CONSECRATION.
DECEPTION — answered by TRUTH.
Satan does not always need to steal your dominion. If he can make you misuse it, he has already corrupted its purpose.
💡 True dominion is not merely having things under your authority; it begins by placing yourself under God's authority.
