WHEN GOD REFUSES TO SHOW YOU THE EXIT

We naturally pray for a way out.

“Lord, take me out of this trouble.”

“Father, remove this problem.”

“God, change this situation.”

But sometimes heaven's answer is surprising:

“I am not taking you OUT of it. I am taking you THROUGH it.”

Israel arrived at the Red Sea expecting an escape route.

Instead, they discovered:

Water in front.
Pharaoh behind.
Mountains around.
And Moses saying, “Stand still!”

Stand still where, sir? 😂

Somebody in that congregation must have quietly wondered whether Moses had actually heard God correctly.

Because sometimes God's direction looks suspiciously like bad planning.

You prayed for promotion; your boss suddenly developed the spirit of Pharaoh.

You prayed for financial breakthrough; your bank account entered forty days of fasting and prayer.

You prayed, “Lord, use me!”

Now problems are using you for practicals.

Yet the absence of an exit does not mean the absence of God.

Sometimes God doesn't open an escape route.

He opens the obstacle itself.

1. SATAN'S BLACK FRIDAY SALES

The devil loves people under pressure because frightened people sell expensive things cheaply.

Esau sold his birthright because of hunger.

Peter began sinking because fear hijacked his focus.

Israel almost exchanged freedom for Egypt because the Red Sea frightened them.

Pressure whispers:

“Reduce your standard.”
“Take the shortcut.”
“Everybody is doing it.”
“God is taking too long.”

Then some believers immediately announce:

SPIRITUAL BLACK FRIDAY!

One disappointment:

Prayer life — 50% OFF!

One betrayal:

Commitment to God — CLEARANCE SALE!

Three unanswered prayers:

Faith — EVERYTHING MUST GO! 😂

Beloved, don't sell tomorrow's testimony because today is uncomfortable.

Never make permanent decisions under temporary pressure.

2. WHEN GOOGLE MAPS SAYS: “NO ROUTE FOUND”

At the Red Sea, every human route had expired.

Forward? Water.

Backward? Pharaoh.

Left and right? No escape.

Google Maps would have announced:

“No route found. Please make a U-turn.”

Unfortunately, the U-turn contained Pharaoh and his soldiers!

Then God introduced a direction nobody had considered:

THROUGH.

That is divine intervention.

When human roads finish, God does not always provide another road.

Sometimes He turns the obstacle into the road.

The Red Sea wasn't Israel's burial ground.

It was God's unopened highway.

What you currently call an obstacle may simply be a miracle that hasn't opened yet.

3. SOMETIMES GOD SHOWS YOU THE DESTINATION BUT HIDES THE TRAFFIC

Joseph saw greatness in his dream.

Interestingly, God omitted a few details:

Pit.
Slavery.
False accusation.
Prison.

Had Joseph seen the complete itinerary beforehand, he might have prayed:

“Father, thank You for remembering me, but kindly transfer this prophecy to Benjamin.” 😂

Yet every unpleasant chapter was preparing him for the palace.

Paul and Silas preached—and received imprisonment instead of honorarium.

Job trusted God—and still experienced devastating loss.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego believed God—and still entered the furnace.

Faith does not mean you will never enter fire.

Faith means fire does not get to write your final chapter.

Never mistake God's processing room for God's rejection room.

4. RUNNING CAN MAKE THE JOURNEY MORE EXPENSIVE

Ask Jonah.

God said:

“Nineveh.”

Jonah said:

“Tarshish.”

God essentially replied:

“We shall meet on the road.”

Jonah bought his own ticket.

God arranged alternative transportation.

Unfortunately, God's vehicle had teeth. 😂

Jonah eventually reached Nineveh—but after completing a compulsory three-day course in:

MARINE THEOLOGY

Faculty of Fishery and Prophetic Obedience.

Running didn't cancel his assignment.

It merely made the journey more expensive.

Elijah ran and found exhaustion.

The prodigal son ran and found famine.

Jonah ran and found a fish.

Sometimes what you call escape is simply the longer route back to where God wants you.

5. DON'T WRITE “THE END” WHILE GOD IS STILL HOLDING THE PEN

“Stand still” does not mean laziness.

It means:

Don't panic.
Don't compromise.
Don't manufacture your own miracle.
Don't abandon your conviction.
Don't conclude the story before God finishes writing it.

Israel stood still until God said:

«“Go forward.” — Exodus 14:15»

Faith knows when to wait.

Faith also knows when to walk.

And sometimes God allows you to reach the end of your ability because He wants what happens next to have only one explanation:

GOD DID IT.

When Israel crossed the Red Sea, nobody congratulated Moses for his civil-engineering expertise.

Nobody shouted:

“Excellent bridge, Pastor Moses!” 😂

There was no bridge.

God turned the problem into the passage.

🔥 YOUR RED SEA MAY BECOME YOUR ROAD

Perhaps your Red Sea is financial.

Marital.

Ministerial.

Academic.

Career-related.

Or simply one stubborn situation that has refused to respect your fasting, anointing oil and carefully arranged prayer points.

Don't conclude too quickly.

The God who opened the Red Sea has not retired.

The God who preserved Daniel has not lost control of the lions.

The God who sustained Job has not changed departments.

And heaven has not misplaced your file.

You may be asking God:

“Lord, how do I get OUT of this?”

And God may be saying:

“You are not going out. We are going THROUGH.”

Because some victories cannot be obtained by escaping the battle.

You must walk through what was supposed to destroy you.

Prayer

PRAYER

Father, when I cannot find a way out, give me faith to follow You through. Keep me from panic, compromise and premature decisions. Turn every obstacle before me into a pathway for Your purpose, in Jesus' name. Amen.

🔥 PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Every Red Sea standing before you shall become a highway.

You will not sell your destiny during Satan's Black Friday.

You will not abandon your assignment halfway.

You will not die where God intends you to pass through.

What frightened you yesterday shall become part of your testimony tomorrow.

And where people expected to see your grave, they shall discover your footprints on the other side.

In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

💡 FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Stop asking only, “God, how do I get out?”

Sometimes there is no way OUT because God has prepared a way THROUGH.

The fire may not disappear.

The sea may not disappear.

The valley may not disappear.

But remember:

The three Hebrew men went THROUGH the fire.

Israel went THROUGH the sea.

David walked THROUGH the valley.

And you too shall go THROUGH.

Because sometimes...

THE WAY OUT IS NOT OUT, BUT THROUGH.

Remain Under His Covering.
