ITS NOT OVER UNTIL YOU WIN

PROPHET DR ABIODUN ADESIDA

Beloved, life sometimes plays out in the same way. Challenges, trials, and battles will come, but God never designed you to quit halfway. You were created to win! Stopping before your breakthrough is like leaving the ring before the final bell. The God who began a good work in you will perfect it (Philippians 1:6).

Today’s message

Read and reflect

When I was a child, one of the things I disliked most was being separated in the middle of a fight after my opponent had already landed a blow that left a mark on me. I would cry bitterly, not because of the pain, but because I had not yet been given the chance to fight back and win. It may sound funny, but it is true—I hated being stopped before the victory was mine.

Don’t give up so easily—the story is not complete until victory is established.

Biblical Examples of Those Who Refused to Quit Until They Won

1. Jacob at Peniel (Genesis 32:24–28)
Jacob wrestled with the angel all night. Even when he was wounded, he refused to let go until he received his blessing. He said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!” That night, his name and destiny changed. Jacob became Israel because he refused to stop halfway.

2. Elijah on Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:41–45)
Elijah prayed earnestly for rain. Six times, his servant came back saying, “There is nothing.” But Elijah did not stop. On the seventh time, the servant saw a cloud the size of a man’s hand. The rain came because the prophet refused to give up after repeated “failures.”

3. The Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1–8)
Jesus told the parable of the widow who kept coming to an unjust judge until he granted her justice. Her persistence moved a wicked man—how much more will God respond to His children who refuse to quit? Jesus concluded, “Men ought always to pray and not to faint.”

4. David Against Goliath (1 Samuel 17)
David was small, but he refused to be intimidated. He did not run from Goliath—he ran toward him. The giant fell because David believed that with God, he could not lose.

5. Jesus in Gethsemane and at the Cross (Luke 22:42; John 19:30)
Even when the burden was heavy, Jesus did not give up. He prayed until strength came, and He endured the cross until He declared, “It is finished!” His victory became our eternal salvation because He refused to stop halfway.

Reflection

Life Application

In your career: Don’t quit because of repeated failures. Try again. The next attempt may be the breakthrough.

In your health: Keep declaring God’s promises of healing until your body aligns with the Word.

In your family/marriage: Refuse to let the devil write the last chapter. God restores broken homes.

In your ministry: Challenges and opposition will rise, but press forward until God’s purpose stands.

Remember, the crown is for finishers, not for quitters (2 Timothy 4:7–8).

Prayer Point

Lord, give me the strength to keep fighting until my victory manifests.

I refuse to quit halfway—I will see the end of every battle, and I will win.

Father, rewrite my story with victory where I have failed before.

Prayer

I decree into your life today: You will not die in the middle of your battle. The grace to persist until you win is released upon you. Every unfinished testimony in your life shall be completed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
