PROPHET DR ABIODUN ADESIDA

If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me…?”

Introduction
When Apostle Paul said he fought with beasts at Ephesus, please do not imagine Paul wearing hunter’s boots, chasing lions with a stick. The “beasts” were not animals in the bush; they were men under the influence of manipulation, greed, religious business, and emotional control.

Demetrius the silversmith and his colleagues became very spiritual immediately their pocket was threatened. Their idol business was shaking, and suddenly they remembered “the greatness of Diana.” Ah! When money is in danger, some people can quote tradition, culture, religion, and ancestors in one breath.

But Paul stood firm. He fought the beast of manipulation with truth.

Today, that same beast still wears church clothes, carries Bible, speaks in “deep revelation,” and sometimes uses microphone with serious echo. Therefore, believers must wake up and discern.

1. The Beast of Spiritual Manipulation
Some people use fear, false prophecy, and spiritual threat to control others. They say, “If you don’t obey me, you will suffer.” But Christ did not die to make believers spiritual slaves.

God leads by truth, not terror. Any voice that makes you fear man more than God is already wearing the shoe of manipulation.

Memory Verse:
“God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

2. The Beast of Financial Manipulation
There is giving by revelation, and there is giving by intimidation. One is worship; the other is religious taxation with anointing oil on top.

When miracles are sold like recharge cards, something is wrong. Jesus said, “Freely ye have received, freely give.” The altar is not a supermarket, and prayer is not POS withdrawal.

Memory Verse:
“Freely ye have received, freely give.”
Matthew 10:8 KJV

3. The Beast of Sexual Manipulation
Any leader who uses spiritual authority to exploit people is not operating under grace but disgrace. “Special anointing” is not a license for immorality, and “spiritual fatherhood” must never become spiritual wickedness.

True anointing protects the vulnerable; it does not prey on them.

Memory Verse:
“Flee fornication…”
1 Corinthians 6:18 KJV

4. The Beast of Emotional Manipulation
Some people do not disciple members; they capture them. They use guilt, fear, and curses to keep people in bondage. They say, “If you leave this place, your destiny will close.” My brother, my sister, Christ is the Door, not any man’s office.

Where Christ is Lord, there is liberty. Where manipulation is lord, fear becomes the choir master.

Memory Verse:
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free…”
Galatians 5:1 KJV

How To Fight The Beast

Grow in the Word.
A Bible-grounded believer is not easily carried away by spiritual packaging.

Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of Truth gives discernment beyond emotional noise.

Put Christ above men.
Respect leaders, but worship only God.

Expose falsehood with wisdom.
Paul did not pet the beast; he confronted error with boldness.

Walk in freedom, not fear.
Anywhere fear is stronger than love and truth, manipulation is already at work.

Reflection

Beloved, the beast of Ephesus is still alive today. It may not roar like a lion, but it whispers through greed, false prophecy, emotional bondage, immoral control, and religious intimidation.

Rise like Paul. Stand in truth. Refuse to be caged by any system Christ has not ordained. You were bought by the blood of Jesus, not by the opinion of men. Walk in liberty, discernment, holiness, and boldness.

Prayer

Father, fill me with wisdom and discernment. Expose every spirit of manipulation around me. Give me boldness to stand for truth and grace to walk in freedom. I refuse fear, deception, and bondage. I live in the liberty of Christ, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Daily Confession
I am a child of truth.
I will not be manipulated by fear, money, emotions, or deception.
I walk in the light, liberty, and victory of Christ.
